BESSIE JORDAN: The longtime housekeeper of Margaret Mitchell. Articulate, well read and outspoken.
Looking for a Black female in the age range of mid-30s to mid-50s. Strong in singing gospel.
This character is a major part of the musical and has numerous solo songs as well as some group numbers.
Each applicant should have strong acting skills with the ability to speak with a southern accent. Must have excellent singing skills (leaning towards gospel) and the ability to learn original songs quickly (big plus if you also read music). This is a reading so you will have script and music in-hand.
You must be available between August 27th through September 11th (that will encompass 7 to 8 rehearsals, tech night and the performance at the Anderson Theatre).
ACTOR CHOSEN WILL BE PAID $200.00
