What is ‘In The Name Of God, Our Father Clericalism’ about?
June 18th, 1982, Blackfriars Bridge, London, England. The body of Roberto Calvi, who handled a major share of the Vatican’s finances is found hanging under the bridge, just days after the collapse of the biggest private bank in Italy, which he was responsible for. Initially recorded as a suicide, the truth will reveal a more sinister story involving murder, the mafia and links all the way up the top of the Vatican, including the pope himself.
1) Character – Businessman Flavio Carboni
We are looking for a white middle aged gentleman 50’s/60’s, with dark short hair. Shorter height and stocky build preferred. Please see the images.
This role requires A NATIVE ITALIAN SPEAKER.
This role requires a native Italian speaker (preferably with a Sardinian accent, though not essential), who will be conversing with other native Italian speakers. They are only required for 3 short scenes (no more than a 1-2 pages worth of script).
Compensation / When / Where
This is a self-funded low budget 1 day production, so we are only able to offer $150 in compensation, however you would only be required for approx. 2-4 hours at the most.
The shoot date will be one day between Thursday March 17th & Thursday March 24th (TBC) and will be at a studio within the island of Montreal.
2) Character – Cardinal Agostino Casaroli
We are looking for a white older gentleman 60/70’s, small to medium build, bold head with grey thinning hair at the sides. Ideally of Italian/Mediterranean/European descent with slightly olive skin, though not a requirement. He will be wearing a cardinal costume and small mitre (cap) on his head. If you have glasses that is great, but not a requirement as we can provide. Please see images.
This role requires A NATIVE ITALIAN SPEAKER.
This role however requires a native Italian speaker, who will be conversing with another native Italian speaker. They are only required for one scene though which is only approx. 1/2 page of script in total.

3) Character – Bishop Pavol Hnilica
We are looking for a white older gentleman 60/70’s, small to medium build, with short white/grey hair, receding at the top. He will be wearing a Bishops costume with small mitre (cap) on his head. If you have glasses that is great, but not a requirement as we can provide. Please see images.
This role requires dialogue to be spoken in ITALIAN.
It is not essential that the actor is a native Italian speaker themselves as the character is originally from Czechoslovakia, so would speak Italian with an accent. But must feel comfortable being able to deliver lines in Italian, there is however no more than half a page in dialogue and they are only required for 1 scene, which they are talking on the phone.

4) Character – Father Virginio Rotundi
We are looking for a white older gentleman 60/70’s. The character will be wearing a priests costume with clerical collar. If you have glasses that is great, but not a requirement as we can provide. Please see the image for a loose idea of what the character looks like, though we are very flexible with looks for this character.
This role requires A NATIVE ITALIAN SPEAKER.
This role however requires a native Italian speaker, who will be conversing with another native Italian speaker at a coffee shop. They are only required for two scenes which are only approx. 1 page of script in total.
