Regular rehearsals begin in August. Coaching starts immediately. Rehearsals will most usually be in the evening and on the weekends.

Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song and a short monologue. Please bring your sheet music. If you do not have a monologue, please be prepared to read a side that has been pulled for you. Please also bring your headshot and resume and be prepared to list your availability through mid-September. Callbacks and dance calls are Sunday, June 26th.

ROLES:
GEORGES: (Plays Male) A star; mature, good singer; energetic, loving and caring; must move well
JEAN-MICHEL: (Plays Male) Well-mannered, educated; desperately in love with his fiancee, Anne; acts, sings, and moves well
JACOB: (A colorful character of any, or no, gender) Butler; brilliant comedian who sings and moves well
ANNE: (Plays Female) Jean-Michel’s fiancee; spunky; a superb dancer who acts well
EDOUARD DINDON: (Plays Male) Anne’s father; right-wing radical politician; pompous; quirky; must sing, move well, and be a fine comedian
RENAUD: (Plays Male) Mature, male friend of Georges and Albin; owns a small cafe
FRANCIS: (Any Gender) Stage manager in Georges’ club; strong actor/dancer
THE LES CAGELLES: Calling ALL types of humans. We are looking for extreme diversity amongst our Cagelles, meaning every size and shape body, color of skin, height, gender identity… come on out and bring your best and most honest self. Must be strong singers, dancers and/or actors.
ENSEMBLE Seeking a handful of strong singers and actors who can sew together the production with important supporting characters and rousing, famous Broadway anthems. Seeking all voice types.

All other roles are currently still open unless we hear any confirmation from other members of our original cast before the auditions. This production was slated for April 2020, we are honored to be mounting it now and at the Playhouse.*
