“Pomegranate” is a short film being produced for the Media Production course in Liberties College. This is a no-budget student film, so these roles are unpaid. Actors will get a copy of the finished film for their own personal portfolio/showreel. The film is about Effie, a young girl trying to cope after being sexually assaulted and The Man who abused her. The film takes place a few months after the assault when Effie sees The Man in a restaurant. We are looking for two actors:
Female actor in her early to mid twenties to play Effie. Ideally, the chosen actor will be physically small and able to play a timid, paranoid girl with a skewed sense of justice.
Male actor in his twenties to play The Man. The chosen actor should be able to come off as physically intimidating, but still generally unnoteable.
Filming will take place in early January 2023. All applicants should be available to come to Liberties College, Bull Alley St. for an audition.
