August 8 and 10 at Riverside Arts Center (Off-Center Gallery) – 76 N Huron St, Ypsilanti

Please prepare a 32-64 bar cut of a song that best shows off your voice, any genre. Music MUST be memorized. An accompanist will be provided, please bring sheet music in the correct key. You may sing with a backing track. If you do, bring a portable bluetooth speaker. You may not sing a capella.
Walk-ins will be seen but those with an audition time will be seen first.
Bring all known conflicts and a headshot/resume if you have one. You must be available October 15-20.
Callbacks will be Wednesday, August 10 at 8:15pm. Please note, not everyone cast will be called back.
You must be over 18 to audition. All vocal types, age ranges, gender identities, races and ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
Performance Dates:
October 21 and 22 at Riverside Art Center Art Gallery (76 N Huron St)
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals begin August 22. Rehearsals will be 2-4 weekday evenings per week and weekend afternoons. No rehearsals Labor Day weekend.
You MUST be available October 15 – 20.
All rehearsals will be in Ypsilanti
About the Show:
Black Cat Cabaret is comprised of original arrangements and interpretations of songs ranging from pop/rock to showtunes. Performers will be in solos and group numbers.
Directed by Kristin Anne Danko
Performers will receive a small stipend.
COVID Procedures:
All performers are required to show proof of vaccination from COVID-19 at the time of audition. Rehearsals will be masked.
A negative COVID test must be taken no more than 24 hours prior to the first rehearsal AND the first day of tech week. A picture of the test results must be sent to the stage manager.
