Virtual open casting call for kids.
Tina: The Tina Turner Musical is holding a virtual open video audition for girls who can play a young Tina Turner.
Video / online auditions are for girls 7 to 13 years of age who are African American or of mixed race. The role that the girls will be playing is that of a young Anna May Bullock (Tina Turner). Girls applying for the role must have a phenomenal singing voice, must have strong acting skills and must also move and dance well. This is for the live production of Tina on Broadway.
About the show:
The musical features the music of Tina Turner and follows Tina Turner through her life from her youth in Nutbush, Tennessee. The musical follows the different stages of her career as well as the tumultuous relationship she had with Ike Turner during the early days and their subsequent separation.
Tina Turner is well known for her music comeback after she split with Ike Turner and became an enormous star during her mid life years. Tina Turner won 11 Gramy Awards and still holds the record for ticket sales among solo performers.
