Auditions for all roles in new English translation of Don Giovanni.
The Cumbria Opera Group are excited to stage Mozart’s Don Giovanni in a new English translation as part of the Cumbria Opera Festival 2023. Cast members will be paid ITC rates for the three-week period, and accommodation and food will be provided by the Company. Rehearsals will take place in Cumbria from 14th-25th August 2023 (or from the 22nd for Il Commendatore), with performances taking place at Victoria Hall on 30th, 31st August and 2nd September.
Auditions will be held in London on Thursday 26th January 2023 and in Kendal (Cumbria) on Sunday 5th February 2023.
Auditions will last 10 minutes, and the panel will include the Director of Don Giovanni, and the Artistic and Managing Directors of the Festival. If invited to audition, singers will be asked to prepare a English language translation of an aria from Don Giovanni which will be sent out by the Cumbria Opera Group in advance of auditions.
