BET’s “The Game” is filming the new season in Atlanta.
Get on the Show “The Game” as a paid TV show extra. BET has rebooted the Football inspired television series “The Game” last year and the show has been renewed for a second season of the show. The show streams on the Paramount+ Network and The Game will be going on at least through 2023.
The show has made the rounds in recent years. “The Game” started out as a CW sitcom, which later morphed into a BET drama, got cancelled and then was reborn on Paramount+ in May 2021. The series did bring back the original cast members. “The Game” stars original cast members, Wendy Raquel Robinson and Hosea Chanchez with other past cast members coming in and out as guest stars on certain episodes.
The production describes the current iteration of “The Game” as…. “a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of pro football”
Originally, The Game is a spin-off of another series called ‘Girlfriends’. The show was created by Mara Brock Akil and first aired on the CW Network beginning its run in 2006. After three seasons, the CW cancelled the show at which point BET decided to pick up the series. Unfortunately for fans, seems that the series will be coming to an end soon. According to Deadline, BET announced that it will not renew the show after season 9. Both seasons, 8 and 9 are currently in production. “The Game” is a comedy about the lives of football players and their wives…. While their men try to hone their gridiron talents on the field, the wives and girlfriends of pro football players sharpen their own skills behind the scenes when it comes to the power plays.
