Please prepare a 1–2-minute comedic monologue of your choice. There will also be cold readings of the script.
Cast breakdown:
Jason – age range 45-57, always impeccably dressed, not conventionally handsome yet his sophistication, arrogance and charm give him a certain type of magnetism, brief backside nudity or may change to underwear (lead role)
Allison- age range 36- 48, Jason’s wife, gracious, kind, well-mannered, smart, attractive
Blanche- age range 60-75, former showgirl, confident, witty, flamboyant, wise
Phoebe- age range 36- 48, shy, tomboyish, dresses horribly, makes the worst of her looks, schoolmarm qualities (lead role)
Leo- age range 40-60, man’s man, reporter, down to earth, serious demeanor, street smart
Kate – age range 20-30s, pretty, star willing to sleep her way to the top, deceptively sweet and gentle manner, considers herself an “artist”
Two understudy roles will be offered, 1 male and 1 female.
