Boise Actor Auditions.
Casting multiple adult roles for our 2023 season at Treasure Valley Children’s Theater (non-union).
Productions: “Jesse the Theater Kid” (summer literacy tour) and “The Tomato Plant Girl” (fall elementary school tour)
Location: Both of the productions we are casting will tour to different locations in the Treasure Valley
Pay: Starting at $15/hour based on role and project budget
Audition Requirements: Please prepare 2 young-audience appropriate monologues, stories, songs and/or games – or a combination of any – and bring your best playful spirit! Length of material chosen should not be longer than 2 minutes per piece. Don’t know what to prepare? No problem! We can provide material for you to audition with.

Breakdown of Roles:
1. 1-2 female or non-binary actors to assume the role of JESSE THE THEATER KID and tour the valley as part of our summer literacy tour. This project requires an artist experienced in developing youthful and energetic character roles, reading comprehension, theater games, and performing for the very young and pre-K audience. Anticipate 4-10 hours of rehearsal. Programs are scheduled in local libraries and community spaces Monday-Friday, June-August 2023.
2. 2-4 female/non-binary and 2-4 male actors in our fall touring production of “The Tomato Plant Girl” by Wesley Middleton, directed by Noah Charles Moody. Anticipate 20-30 hours of rehearsal starting on August 2023. Cast will be expected to be available M-F during school hours starting the week of September 18th through November 17th. Anticipate 20-30 performances. This program will be double cast and/or a swing cast based on actor availability.
Actors may be cast in multiple roles based on availability. All positions are paid for rehearsal and performance time. All cast members will be subject to a background check.
