WES/OLIVIA (20-30s)
A few years out of university, WES/OLIVIA works a fantastic job at a top consultant firm. They are the stereotypical version of success to their Asian-immigrant parents. However, despite how “perfect” their life seems, they feel extremely unfulfilled and dream of being a film director. Their whole life, they’ve done what’s “right”, living for their parents. Now, they are finally going to live for themselves.

YOUNG WES/OLIVIA (8-13)
When YOUNG WES/OLIVIA discovers their family camcorder, they fall in love with it. They love to film anything and everything. Curious but timid, this new hobby has helped them crawl out of their shell.

MOTHER (30-40)
Mother to WES/OLIVIA. A tiger mom; she is strict because she wants what is best for her child. She immigrated to Canada right before WES/OLIVIA was born and opened a small plant shop that she still tirelessly runs.
FATHER (30-40)
Father to WES/OLIVIA. Still holds very traditional-Asian values.
