We are looking for three performers in the Orlando area to play the following characters for this independently produced pilot.
Danielle – Caucasian woman, late 30’s / early 40’s. A depressed widow with a strained relationship with her daughter, as well as an on again / off again drug addiction.
Star-Rider- Caucasian man, 30’s, muscular. A superhero that’s stuck feeling like he’s in a dead-end job, trying desperately to project a positive image.
TV Show Host- Any demographic. TV Show host of an interview show with similar energy to 60 Minutes.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
“I’m Not Your Sidekick” is an independently produced pilot about a young woman, Madison. She’s a young woman fresh out of high school, with a lack of direction as to where she’s going in life. She’s often been the adult in her relationship with her only family member, her mother Danielle. When aimless and stuck in an abusive cycle, Madison takes the first opportunity to change her life when bearing witness to Safeguard, a violent vigilante declaring war on a crime syndicate pushing a new drug “Mesa” onto the streets. A morally gray coming of age story about a crime-fighting superhero sidekick.
