Are you a senior with talent in Tennessee?
The annual Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent variety show is now holding auditions for talented seniors who would love a chance to show off their talent on stage and compete against other seniors in Knoxville.
Open, in person auditions are being held in Clinton with the show taking place on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at The Bijou Theatre in Knoxville.
The Morning Pointe Foundation in collaboration with Morning Pointe Senior Living, is holding auditions for their annual “Seniors Got Talent” competition.
Auditions being held for seniors aged 62 or older, extending beyond just Morning Pointe residents. From these auditions, around ten to twelve seniors or senior groups will be chosen. The showcased acts have encompassed a wide range of talent, such as singers, musicians, dancers, poets, comedians, and more. The top performer will win a $500 prize, and prizes will also be granted to the second and third-place finishers, along with a People’s Choice winner determined by the votes of attendees.
The annual Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent variety show is an inspiring event that showcases the incredible talent of senior citizens from across the community. Each year, this eagerly anticipated show brings together a diverse group of older adults who prove that age is no barrier to creativity and performance. From singing and dancing to comedy acts and instrumental performances, the Seniors Got Talent stage is a testament to the rich reservoir of skills and abilities that seniors possess. Beyond the exceptional performances, the event fosters a sense of camaraderie and empowerment among the participants, as they bravely take the stage to share their passions and talents with a supportive audience.
This event not only celebrates the artistic abilities of our older generations but also serves as a reminder that talent knows no age limits, providing inspiration and entertainment for all who attend.
All proceeds from the show will go to the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit public service organization that provides caregiver support programs, sponsors educational awareness events, and funds clinical scholarships throughout the Southeast.
