AUDITION DATES for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera!”
This show is now for TEEN actors and ballet dancers only.
Group ballet auditions for Phantom will mostly be for dancers ages 14-19, but dancers of exceptional ability ages 12 and 13 may also audition.
Ballet Auditions will be held Tuesday, May 23 from 6-8pm and Saturday May 27 from 10am to noon at the Old Grantsville Church, 297 West Clark Street in Grantsville. Come to one of the two audition times. No appointment is necessary for dancers, and no preparation is necessary because we will be teaching you a dance.
IF YOU ARE AUDITIONING FOR CHRISTINE OR MEG YOU MUST COME TO ONE OF THESE DANCE AUDITIONS IN ADDITION TO YOUR SINGING AUDITION.
Singing auditions for Phantom are open only to actors ages 14-19 who will not turn twenty before Aug 25 and will be held by APPOINTMENT (see link below) on either Wed May 24, Thurs May 25 from 6pm to 9pm , Tues May 30 from 7-9pm or Wed May 31 from 6-9pm at the old church. Singers should prepare 16 bars(30 to 60 seconds) of a song from a show OTHER than Phantom, but in a similar style. Please bring recorded accompaniment, or your own accompanist. Please come to all auditions knowing your summer schedule conflicts for vacations, camps and classes! Depending upon the actors’ schedules, rehearsals will mostly be on either weekday mornings or weekday evenings.
Performances will be Aug 17 thru 24.
There will be a costume fee of $20 to $30, depending upon your character part.
