Seeking character for Oprah Talk Show Host in upcoming short film, “Dirty Shirley”

French artist and filmmaker, Julie Bena, is seeking an actor for her upcoming short film, Dirty Shirley, produced by the nonprofit, nomadic art museum Black Cube.
This experimental short film will feature a cast of unconventional characters as they navigate the seedy underbelly of American city life and American fame. Filming will begin in November 2023, and will take place over 1-2 days in the Denver Metro area.
The Oprah Talk Show Host, a supporting character, is a role for an African American female actor who is 18+ who will take on a small speaking part. This role is charismatic and has the ability to playfully communicate with an audience like a TV presenter or talk show host. This role will require the memorization of one page of text.
This is a paid role.
Auditions will be held on August 17th. We will follow up with selected cast to proceed with scheduling an audition.
Please note, you will be asked to sign a commitment agreement with a liability waiver upon selection for this film.
