Grand Canyon University – Stirring the Potluck Web Series

Audition / Call Type: Web Series
Logline: A Mockumentary on an elderly church congregation that is merging with a Zillenial church of former basement dwellers. With the elderly pastor retiring and a young hipster pastor taking his place, a respected widow starts to stir the pot at their monthly potlucks.
Cast Members Still Needed:
Pastor Caleb Gardiner (M/mid 60’s-early 70’s): The Pastor of Blessed Community Church who is planning to retire; warm & approachable, but still mourning his late wife.
Miriam Lillyman (F/early to mid 20’s): Young Wife of Pastor Lovejoy, who is the energetic & naive replacement for Pastor Gardiner; She grew up in the church but is quickly overwhelmed by the authority held by the older women of Blessed Community Church. Must be able to cry believably.
Gary Nagornov (M/mid to late 30’s): Newcomer at the now merged Blessed Community Church and Lighthouse Road Church. In over his head, but also a bit of a know-it-all. Is attending mainly to reconnect with his older sister’s family, who are members there. Doesn’t appear until Episode 2.
Josh Palomo (M/early 20’s): Secret Catholic Boyfriend of Leah Fetterly, who is viewed as the golden girl of Blessed Community Church. He is a clean cut, stand up guy, but is judged by Leah’s family for being Catholic alone. Doesn’t appear until Episode 2.

In your initial email, submit your Headshot, name, some basic info about yourself (height, age, etc), and the role you’re auditioning for. If you are wanting to play an extra, there is no need to send a secondary email, just send the days you are unavailable for filming. If you are auditioning for one of the four main/side characters, I’ll will respond to your initial email with one or two scenes your character of choice is in. Create a video for each scene you are sent with an off-screen person to read the lines of the other character(s) that your character is reacting/responding to. Send the audition videos as private YouTube video links. You will receive our decision to either cast, callback, or not cast you withing 48 hours after receiving your audition videos.
