City Lights has an immediate casting opportunity in our upcoming production of “Kinky Boots.”
Previewing on July 13th and running through August 20th.
The role is Young Simon, who is in the opening number and the finale. We are looking for a Black actor who reads 10-13. We are open to having two actors share the role, depending on their availability.
Kinky Boots:
Inspired by true events, the show tells the story of Charlie Price, a struggling shoe factory owner who finds an unlikely partnership with Lola, a fabulous drag queen, to save his family business. As they work together to create a line of high-heeled boots for drag queens, they not only transform the factory but also challenge societal norms and embrace the power of self-acceptance. With a powerful and catchy score by Cyndi Lauper and a heartwarming message of inclusivity and embracing one’s true self, “Kinky Boots” delivers an electrifying theatrical experience that leaves audiences inspired, entertained, and ready to strut their stuff.
