Disney is holding an online video audition for kids.
Disney “The Lion King” – be part of the national touring show. This is a paid professional theatrical job and the Disney casting directors are holding an online search for kids to fill the roles of young Simba and Young Nala in the live stage performance.
“The Lion King” is one of the most popular productions on the planet and has been seen by over 70 million people worldwide. “The Lion King” is the winner of 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Tony Award winning director Julie Taymor brings to life a story filled with hope and adventure set against an amazing backdrop of stunning visuals.
THE LION KING also features the extraordinary work of Tony Award winning choreographer Garth Fagan and some of Broadway’s most recognizable music, crafted by Tony Award winning international singer/songwriters Elton John and Tim Rice.

Disney Theatrical is seeking future replacements for Young Simba and Young Nala for the National Tour. Minimum weekly salary is $2,311.00.
YOUNG SIMBA: He/Him. 9 – 12 years old. An African lion cub. Mufasa’s son. A lion cub that eventually becomes the King of the Pridelands. Looking for a young actor/singer with natural talent, charm, and charisma. Actor must move well and hold the stage on his own with confidence and truth. ACTOR MUST BE UNDER 58 INCHES.
YOUNG NALA: She/Her. 9 – 12 years old. An African lion cub. She eventually becomes the Queen of the Pridelands. She keeps Simba in his place. Looking for a young actor/singer with natural talent, charm, and charisma. Actor must move well and hold the stage on her own with confidence and truth. ACTOR MUST BE UNDER 58 INCHES.

Submit Video Online
Please submit an unlisted Vimeo link without password protection. Don’t submit anything that needs to be downloaded or is password protected.
Please include the child’s current height (measured barefoot) and their current age and birth date. Make sure to include contact information of the parent/guardian and a current picture and resume, if possible.
Again, please note that the deadline to get your submissions in for the Disney video casting call will be January, 6, 2023.

What is expected as an audition:
Video link of yourself singing your best 16 bars (approximately 30 seconds – with sheet music) of an R&B, pop or rock-and-roll song that best showcases your vocal range.
Please do not sing material from THE LION KING or standard Broadway theater music.
Please DO NOT include a video file as an attachment. Include a link from either YouTube or Vimeo.
