Seeking a diverse cast for the feature film “Amoriental,” a casting couch (“Me Too”) comedy drama, about an actress who files a complaint with a governmental civil rights agency accusing a movie producer of sexual harassment, while the agency’s lead attorney handling the complaint encounters sordid twists, duplicity and marital meltdown. Seeking the following cast:
Starlet Fairweather (Lead), female, 25-45, Caucasian: a strong-willed actress who feels violated by having acted out a love scene with a movie producer at her audition, only to be rejected for the role. She files a complaint with a government civil rights agency, to get justice for her pain and humiliation. Partial nudity (topless) in feigned, simulated love scene (as if acting at an audition). $120/day (negotiable for select talent), $206/day for partial nude shoot.
Barry Perk (Lead), male, 40-60, Caucasian: a movie producer who adamantly believes he did nothing wrong in having Starlet at her audition act out a love scene with him, which the lead actress would have to do in the film. A confident man with money, power and influence at his disposal. $120/day (negotiable for select talent).
Glen Crane (Supporting), male, 40-65, Black: The Civil Rights Agency Commissioner; an authoritative figure. He entrusts his chief trial lawyer, Victor Lang, to supervise the handling of Starlet’s case, hoping that Victor can successfully prosecute Starlet’s complaint against Perk and bring favorable publicity to the Agency. However, his support for Victor is repeatedly tested as the case intensifies. $120/day.
Lourdes Lang (Supporting), female, 35-55, Latina: The wife of the agency’s lead attorney, Victor Lang, who is frustrated by Victor’s not giving her enough time, attention and money. She sees Victor so absorbed with Starlet’s case, she feels she must leave him. $120/day. $206/day for partial nude shoot.
Leta Hornsworth (Supporting), female, 25-50, all ethnicities: the actress who got the lead role which Starlet auditioned for. She has an inside scoop on Perk; but will she testify against him, and risk losing everything? Partial nudity (topless) in feigned, simulated love scene (as if acting at an audition). $120/day, $206/day for partial nude shoot.
Alyssa Romero (Supporting), female, 25-50, Black/Latina: An Agency investigator who is street-smart and sympathizes with Starlet’s complaint. She has Starlet’s back. $120/day.
Dan Nicholas (Supporting), male, 25-55, Caucasian: An Agency legal assistant who is blind, and unfortunately appears to be more of a bumbling hindrance than help on Starlet’s case. $120/full day.
Hollie Wood (Supporting), female, 25-50, all ethnicities: A mysterious woman who brings ominous messages to Victor. $120/full day ($60/half day).
Tammy Moss (Supporting), female, 30-55, all ethnicities: an LGBT Agency lawyer with extensive experience handling sex discrimination cases. She is miffed that she was not assigned to Starlet’s case, and makes a play for Starlet.
Mandy (Day Player) female, 20-60, all ethnicities: An Agency employee who chats with Victor and staff. $120/full day ($60/half day).
Bobby (Day Player), fe/male, 20-60, all ethnicities: An Agency employee who works at the Reception Desk. $60/half day.
Drag Queen (Day Player), 20-60, all ethnicities: An individual who comes to the Agency to make a complaint. $60/half day.
Chatting Co-worker 1 (Featured/Day Player), fe/male, 20-60, all ethnicities: An Agency employee who wears traditional ethnic clothes at work and chats with another employee. Must have some type of traditional ethnic clothes. $60/half day.
Chatting Co-worker 2 (Featured/Day Player), fe/male, 20-60, all ethnicities: An Agency employee who wears traditional ethnic clothes at work and chats with another employee. Must have some type of traditional ethnic clothes. $60/half day.
Lourdes’ Mom (Day Player), female, 50-75, Latina: Victor speaks to her on the phone after Lourdes leaves him. $60/half day. Spanish-speaking ability a plus.
Sy Mosely (Day Player), male, 30-65, all ethnicities: A former associate of Perk’s who holds a grudge against him. $60/half day.
Filming is scheduled to begin in May 2023. All cast must be COVID-vaccinated. An intimacy coordinator will be available for sexually simulated scenes and/or talent is encouraged to bring someone with them.
