WHAT: Local [INDIANAPOLIS] actors needed for INDYFRINGE production of new comedy I, TRUMP – a play for the stage – LOGLINE: It’s 2018. He’s still here. What the actual f*#k!
WHEN: 3 performances of 60 minute play “I, Trump” during the first weekend of the Indy Fringe Festival Aug 17-20th, 2023. Tech Rehearsal FRI 18 AUG 3-5pm. Performances (3) FRI 18 AUG 7:15-8:15, SAT 19 AUG 1:45-2:45pm, SUN 20 AUG 5:15-6:15pm. Also rehearsals at an earlier time locally TBD, and initial read throughs over ZOOM.
WHERE: Performance and tech rehearsal at the Basile Theatre at the Historic Athenaeum, Downtown Indianapolis. This will be a joint Pittsburgh/Indianapolis production with rehearsals over zoom and final performances in Indianapolis.
PAY: $200 stipend guaranteed. This is fringe so no-one is raking it in but hopefully this will make it easier for those who want to fringe for the exposure or joy of it. It is not intended to reflect the time and effort involved.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. A by-the-book general until he decides it’s time to throw the book away. Very concerned about what Trump might get up to.

MORGAN VAUGHAN, 20s, non-binary
Preppy White House intern who can’t quite believe they are now Trump’s Chief of Staff. Always tries to do the right thing. A worry wart.

CARLA HEART, 30s-50s, female
Manuscript preservationist who ends up as Trump’s chief librarian and Vice-President in his authoritarian emergency government, despite her being a die-hard Democrat.

DONALD TRUMP
We all know who he is. Now aged 81 by the time of the play, he is waning but events rekindle his fire. You’ve never met a more dangerous octogenarian. (NOTE: matching of age or appearance is far less important than capturing the essence of the man, though exact mimicry is not desired either.)
