FlightTime Productions are excited to announce our casting call for our debut podcast series…Diva Airways: The Stories of A Dysfunctional Airline.
We have multiple roles available and looking for characters of many ages, genders, and ethnicities. As stated, this is our first debut production, but roles are paid if cast in the production. Roles will also be credited on IMDb. You must submit by Saturday, July 1st, 2023.

Please record on the setup you intend to use if cast. We are looking for reasonable quality, with minimal reverb, or background noise interference.
ROLES WITHIN PRODUCTION
Miss Loretta Monroe
The owner of Diva Airways, uptight about finances and wants nothing more but to have the best airline in the industry. She speaks her mind often and tends to make terrific business decisions, loves to see the operation at work

Audition Line: “For once, child, you don’t have a chance in this industry. I’ve worked hard to come this far, and you can’t understand that at all. Damien, I want to see you shine but you must do that on your own terms, not mine.”
Damien Monroe
The son of Diva Airways owner Loretta, assists his mother with daily functions at the main hub of the airline at Harvey International Airport, in Harvey, Washington. He wants to get his mother to give him an official job title, and she makes it hard on him to do so with all the loopholes attached

Audition Line: “I work day and night to keep this airline in line while you are off, running around out of town. I can’t keep you from running this airline, but you need to sort your priorities before asking me a terrible question like that, mother.”
Mimi Garland
The silly, ditzy newly hired flight attendant for Diva Airways, dreams big and loves to focus on the bigger picture in life, really loves her job. Becomes best friends with Viola, wants higher seniority in the company so she can start traveling abroad

Rita VanBuren
The funny, over the top customer service manager for Diva Airways, a fashionista who’s always late and tends to overlook some important things, knew Loretta for a long time. A perfectionist who isn’t always perfect

Audition Line: “I’m sorry I’m late, I couldn’t figure out what to wear until it was time to put my makeup on today, horrible I know. I couldn’t find my favorite shade of pink, so I’m stuck with this. Perfect right? Now Loretta won’t be the only one looking fabulous. Um, Alexa, where is Loretta?.”
Amber Galloway
The full time gate supervisor for Diva Airways, complains that the gates and ticket counters are always so understaffed, always butts heads with Rita. She has been with Diva Airways since the very beginning when they only had twelve routes

Audition Line: “What may I ask are you doing here at this late hour? You of all employees should know to go home at a decent time, oh wait, I forgot, we are understaffed. (laughs) I can’t wait to retire. Wait until we start flying to the Bahamas next month, I may never come back.”
Viola Fairbanks
The sweet, timid gate agent for Diva Airways, overworked who’s getting quite annoyed with working doubles after doubles, loves her job regardless. Has dreams of one day moving to New York City and working as a flight attendant as well as to perform on Broadway

Audition Line: “Awe Daniel, how sweet. You see, ever since I was seven I wanted to work at the airport, I just loved always watching the big planes flying overhead. It was a dream, and you see, well, now I know that it’s fun. It may just be the jet fumes talking, but I love it here.”
The role of Alexa Valentine has been pre-cast already, played by Amber Buttery.
Daniel Larsen
The kind, handsome ramp agent for Diva Airways, meets Viola and instantly takes a liking to her, falls in love with how she does things at work, gets her to like him back. He’s very passionate about aviation, always thought about transferring above wing to where Viola is

Jeremy Tisdale
The evil, cruel airport official who has false claims that Diva Airways is not representing Harvey International Airport the way they should be, dislikes the airline with a passion. He fights to have a major rival airline, Backcountry Airlines, more gate and ticket counter space

Audition Line: “I don’t understand how a huge successful airline like Diva Airways is having it’s dysfunctional moments, that’s definitely a flaw in Loretta Monroe’s business. I bet it’s her son’s fault the airline is losing it’s employees. I must share this with the other airport officials at once.”
The role of Trevor Jakobson has been pre-cast already, played by Matthew Stevens
William Callaghan
The Diva Airways Cargo Manager who is always looking for advice from Trevor, an LGBTQ character who ends up falling for him. He had plans to leave cargo to work in crew scheduling, always wanted to be a pilot as well

Ava Winters
A regular traveling passenger on Diva Airways, snotty first class frequent flyer, known as the great and powerful Diva Karen. Gets on everyone’s nerves when dealing with her

Audition Line: “Why are we delayed? I seem to always be delayed when I fly Diva Airways from here to Boise. If I wanted to be delayed, I would’ve flown Backcountry Airlines instead. Viola, I remember you from last time. I’d like to speak to your manager. Make it snappy.”
