Love Halloween? Need an acting job? If you live in the Pleasanton, California area you may be in luck as with Halloween approaching, haunted attractions and shows all around the country are seeking scare actors who have no problem wearing costumes and makeup to work.
Are you ready to join the fright fest and scare the wits out of the general public? Pirates of Emerson Haunted Adventure is looking for enthusiastic crew members, 18 and older, to be part of our terrifying team!

Pirates of Emerson Haunted Adventure, located at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA, is a Halloween attraction that promises thrills and chills for all who dare to enter. This immersive haunted experience transforms the fairgrounds into a terrifying world of pirate lore and supernatural horrors, featuring intricate sets, professional actors, and spine-tingling special effects. Each year, the event draws thousands of visitors eager to brave the eerie mazes, haunted ships, and sinister encounters that make up this unique adventure.
Job Fair Dates:
August 17 & 18
Time: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Location: Alameda County Fairgrounds (Corner of Bernal & Valley Ave), Pleasanton, CA 94566
Seeking:
- Energetic individuals who love scaring people in a fun and engaging environment.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older.
- Positions available: actors, cashiers, and ticket takers.
Details:
Public Season: September 27th – November 3rd
Pay Rate: Starting at $16.50/hr
Bonus: $300 for working all 21 nights
Returning Crew Members: If you attended the Crew Party last year, no need to attend the Job Fair.

Job Fair Instructions:
- Enter the fairgrounds at Gate 12.
- Inform the guard or parking attendant that you are there for Pirates of Emerson.
- Turn right immediately after entering Gate 12 onto Road 6. Approximately 1/8 mile later, you will find us on the right.
Selected candidates will attend a Monster Training class and costume fitting in mid-September.
