“Gamble” is an intense film about a man who battles with the generational curse of gambling addiction. As he spirals deeper into the destructive cycle, his girlfriend who has fought her own demons, struggles to stand by him. Can she save him or walk away… can he save himself?
Roles:
- Scott Gamble: (mid 20’s), Male, hipster type, small town dreamer, enthusiastic, risk seeker, false sense of destiny, conflicted, comfortable with gambling.
- Young Scott Gamble: (12 yrs old), Male, Impressionable boy who is innocent Margot Lange: (early 30’s), Female, artistic spirit, feels like an outsider, recovering narcotic addict, year of sobriety, strong willed, nurturing, self-realization journey.
- Peter Gamble: (early 40’s), Male, brash hipster type, short term indulgence, irresponsible and emotional immaturity as a parent, comfortable with gambling.
- Susan Davis: (early 60’s), Female, neglectful parenting style, witness of emotional abuse, health problems, oscillates between protectiveness, despair, guilt to break gambling cycle.
- Albert Cicero: (early to mid 60’s), Male, sharp-dressed, powerful presence, organized crime figure, unctuous demeanor, commands respect, quintessential gentleman
- Lorenzo the Henchman: Shadowy figure who embodies loyalty and intimidation • Nikki Sanders: (early 20’s), Female, perky disposition, enthusiastic, sociable, personable, good listener, college student, bartender, comfortable with making drinks.
