Open Auditions for the Carolina Renaissance Festival
The Carolina Renaissance Festival is excited to announce open auditions to fill a variety of roles for the upcoming season.
The Carolina Renaissance Festival is a combination of outdoor theater, circus, arts and crafts fair, jousting tournament and feast, all rolled into one. This year the Carolina Renaissance Festival returns Saturdays and Sundays, October 5th abd will run through November 24th.
The Carolina Renaissance Festival is a annual event that transports visitors to a 16th-century European village. Held on a sprawling 250-acre farm in Huntersville, North Carolina, the festival features authentic costumes, period music, jousting tournaments, and a variety of performances including actors, street performers, musicians, and dancers. The festival offers an immersive experience with artisan crafts, gourmet food, and interactive entertainment for all ages, celebrating history, culture, and the arts in a vibrant outdoor setting.
Auditions will take place over two days at Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy in Huntersville, North Carolina (Charlotte area)

Who Can Audition:
- Individuals aged 13 and older are welcome to audition.
- Seeking actors, street performers, cosplayers, historical reenactors, musicians, singers, dancers, variety acts, and stagehands.
- Special casting call for actors aged 24 to 30 to portray a royal princess.
Preparation and Workshops: All cast members are required to participate in a series of free summer workshops and rehearsals to hone their skills for the outdoor renaissance theme. These sessions will cover costuming, period language, accents, character development, and improvisation.
