This feature film is a dark-comedy/drama about the life of a toxic love triangle. It is a tempestuous relationship between a disabled man who just moved in to Amsterdam, a Latina prostitute with demons of her own, and the psychologist who stands in between them. The project is made with a few resources, and the film will rely mostly in the subtle screenwriting and purposeful acting from part of the small and highly competent cast.
By applying to this project, you would be the lead on an ambitious project, having an opportunity to work with an award-winning filmmaker (Winner at the Cannes World Film Festival for Best First-Time Filmmaker Award 2021), explore new an alternate material not often discussed in the mainstream media, all the while working with a small and intimate production team that would give you some room for creative expression.
Ideally the candidate should be able to have some creative input on the screenplay and overall story, illustrating realistically the experience of disabled people and their relationship with the wider society.
