American Gladiators, the legendary 90s television show which began its run in 1989, is coming back to introduce audiences to the show seen decades ago. This high-energy competition pits everyday contenders against the show’s formidable Gladiators in a series of intense physical challenges designed to test strength, agility, and endurance. Known for its larger-than-life personalities and awe-inspiring athletic feats, American Gladiators combines sports, entertainment, and drama, creating an unforgettable viewing experience.

For those not familiar with the show, in most episodes of American Gladiators, four competitors—two men and two women—competed in a series of physical challenges. These players, known as “contenders,” faced off against each other and against a team of costumed athletes called the “Gladiators,” whose goal was to thwart their progress. Each match featured contenders striving to advance in a tournament, culminating in one man and one woman being crowned champions.
