Join us for the timeless tale of Beauty and the Beast, where Belle, a spirited young woman, finds herself in an enchanted castle ruled by a prince cursed to live as a Beast. If the Beast can learn to love and earn love in return, the spell will be broken—but time is running out.

Audition Details:
- Belle Candidates: Please prepare to sing “Belle (Reprise)” and read Scene #2 from the Audition Packet.
- General Auditions: All other roles will involve singing, readings, and a short dance combination. Each auditionee will choose one scene to read from the provided selections.

Location:
Actors Guild Rehearsal Hall, 724 Market Street, downtown Parkersburg. Enter through the black door on Market Street and proceed to the top of the stairs.
Character Descriptions:
- Belle: Female, 20-25, Vocal Range: E3-F5. A smart, independent young woman with a love of reading.
- Beast: Male, 30-40, Vocal Range: A2-F4. The cursed prince with a fearsome exterior but a heart that longs for redemption.
- Maurice: Male, 55-65, Vocal Range: Bb2-Db4. Belle’s eccentric inventor father.
- Gaston: Male, 30-40, Vocal Range: A2-E4. A self-centered hunter who believes he’s entitled to anything he desires.
- Lefou: Male, 25-35, Vocal Range: B2-F#4. Gaston’s dimwitted, loyal sidekick.
- The Silly Girls: Female, 18-25. Gaston’s adoring and obsessive fans.
- Lumiere: Male, 35-45, Vocal Range: F#2-F#4. A suave French valet who becomes a candelabra.
- Cogsworth: Male, 40-55, Vocal Range: A2-E4. The fussy English major-domo transformed into a mantle clock.
- Mrs. Potts: Female, 45-55, Vocal Range: F#3-G5. The kind head of the kitchen staff who becomes a teapot.
- Chip: Male, 7-10, Vocal Range: A3-F5. Mrs. Potts’ young son who becomes a teacup.
- Madame De La Grande Bouche: Female, 40-55, Vocal Range: C#4-D5. A grand opera singer who becomes a wardrobe.
- Babette: Female, 25-35, Vocal Range: C4-F5. A flirtatious maid turned feather duster.
- Monsieur D’arque: Male, 35-55. The sinister proprietor of the local insane asylum.
- Ensemble: Various roles including villagers, castle staff, and wolves.
