Jackson County Community Theatre Announces Auditions for “Death of a Salesman”
Jackson County Community Theatre (JCCT) is excited to announce auditions for “Death of a Salesman,” the critically acclaimed play by Arthur Miller. This production, directed by Zach Thompson, will mark the first time in JCCT’s 50-plus year history that this classic drama is staged at their Brownstown theater, coinciding with the play’s 75th anniversary.
About the Play: “Death of a Salesman,” which premiered on Broadway in 1949, tells the poignant story of Willy Loman, a beleaguered salesman wrestling with the harsh realities of his life and the elusive promises of the American Dream. The play delves into themes of identity, failure, and the conflict between reality and illusion, as Willy’s memories and hallucinations interweave with the present, exposing his profound anxieties and shattered aspirations.

- Requirements: A prepared 60-90 second monologue and participation in scene readings from the script.
