Open casting call for kids.
Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana is in search of young theater actors to fill roles in its upcoming productions of “The King and I” and “The Wizard of Oz.”
Auditions are set to take place at the theatre located at 9301 Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, on Saturday, Feb. 17, with callbacks scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 18, at a time to be announced.
Prospective performers are required to prepare at least one vocal selection, demonstrating their vocal range in not more than 24 bars. Sheet music in the correct key should be brought along, as a piano accompanist will be provided (no CDs or pre-recorded music). Additionally, a 1-minute monologue, story, or joke should be prepared. Dress comfortably (no costumes or makeup), and bring a current photo along with an informal bio detailing recent performing experience, if any.
Finalists will be called back on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 18. Children selected for roles will receive a small performance stipend and a limited number of complimentary tickets. To be eligible, performers must commit to being available for all scheduled rehearsals and performances.

Beef & Boards is specifically seeking children aged 5-15 of Asian or mixed Asian descent to play royal princes and princesses.
Additionally, children aged 12-18 are sought, specifically of Asian or mixed Asian descent for the role of Prince Chulalonghorn, and specifically of Indian or mixed Indian descent for the role of Louis Leonowens.
“The Wizard of Oz,” set to be on stage from May 23 through July 7
Auditions are open to children of all ethnicities, ranging in age from 5-18, to play the Munchkins.
Auditions are inclusive, welcoming children who are physically and ethnically diverse and capable of both singing and moving well.
