NEW MEXICO FEATURE FILM CASTING (NON-UNION ONLY) – INDIE FEATURE FILM SHOOTING SUMMER 2025
Location: New Mexico (Locals Only)
Compensation: Paid – $350/day
A unique opportunity is here for New Mexico-based talent! Casting is now open for lead roles in a groundbreaking indie feature film shooting this summer. This project will blend documentary and narrative storytelling, with all performances improvised based on character outlines. No prior acting experience is required—just bring your authentic self and a willingness to dive into your character.
The director’s previous works have screened at Sundance, Berlinale, SXSW, and Venice Film Festival.
ABOUT THE FILM
In a forgotten New Mexican desert town, ten intersecting lives collide as locals pin their hopes on a presidential whistle-stop train to revive their fading community. As secrets unravel and tensions erupt, they must confront the fragile connections that bind them in a darkly comedic tale of love, loss, and human connection.

Bones is a middle-aged outlaw haunted by regrets. Known for his dark humor and loyalty to his daughter Rose, Bones wrestles with his strained relationship with the Cop, his childhood friend turned nemesis.

The Cop is a pill-popping, heartbroken man hiding behind a façade of patriotism and duty. Struggling with personal connections, he shares a complicated bond with Bones, his former friend and current adversary.
