About the Show:
Shakespeare’s King Lear is a profound tale of power, loyalty, betrayal, and redemption. As King Lear prepares for his old age, he divides his kingdom between his two flattering daughters, Goneril and Regan, while disowning his honest daughter, Cordelia. Lear’s descent into madness unfolds as betrayal, cruelty, and ambition turn his world upside down. Meanwhile, the subplot weaves a story of deception within Gloucester’s family as his illegitimate son, Edmund, seeks power at any cost.
