Untitled Jazz Film – Club Berlin Pictures
Location: Albuquerque
About: A young New-Mexican woman attempts to rekindle her lust for life by reflecting on the lives of her deceased, Jazz-musician parents.
Information: Non-union casting call for five roles – please include which role they want to be casted for.
Lead Roles:
JAYCE (later 20’s), a young Hispanic woman who was born to jazz-musician parents; introspective, thoughtful, endearing, strong. Experience playing guitar or saxophone is ideal but not necessary.
BLUE (late 20’s/early 30’s), a young Hispanic or Black man, driven to be a famous jazz musician by any means necessary. Experience playing trumpet or saxophone strongly preferred.

Supporting Roles:
ALBA (60’s), Jayce’s aunt and Alonzo’s last living sibling. Hispanic.
ALONZO (mid 30’s), Jayce’s father, a jazz drummer. Hispanic. No dialogue but a good chunk of action—he is shown as he was in his mid thirties. Drumming experience strongly preferred.
LUISA (mid 30’s), Jayce’s mother, a saxophonist. Hispanic, preferably Chicana. She is also shown as she was in mid 30’s. No dialogue but same amount of action as Alonzo character. Saxophone experience strongly preferred.
