One of the most popular romantic comedies of the century, Same Time, Next Year won a Tony® Award for lead actress Ellen Burstyn. The plot follows a love affair in 1951 between two people, housewife Doris and accountant George, married to others, who rendezvous once a year. Twenty-five years of manners and morals are hilariously and touchingly played out by the lovers. During the time they spend with each other, they discuss the births, deaths, and marital problems each is experiencing at home, while they adapt themselves to the social changes affecting their lives.
