Christmas is coming up quickly and the popular Polar Express train attraction is now hiring actors. Open auditions will be held shortly.
“The Polar Express Train Ride” is a 60-minute live production that takes place aboard a slow-moving train departing from the Oklahoma Railway Museum in Oklahoma City. This immersive show brings the beloved holiday story to life with a combination of scripted scenes, live singing, dancing, and extensive audience interaction, making it a magical experience for all ages. Each show day features 2-5 departures, offering multiple opportunities for audiences to embark on this festive journey.

Rehearsals will be held in Oklahoma City, with the exact location to be determined. This production is seeking local talent only, as housing and transportation will not be provided.
PAY RATES:
All Roles (except Santa & Hero Child): $17.50/hour
Santa: $25/hour
Hero Child: Full Info
PAY RATE NOTE: This role is paid on an hourly basis, including overtime for weeks exceeding 40 hours. The base hourly rate is $17.50/hour ($25/hour for Santa). Presuming a fully realized performance season (no unexpected cancellations or Acts of God), and if actors work the entirety of their assigned schedule, Oklahoma City actors will work approximately 230 total hours from the start of rehearsals to the closing day performance.
ALL ACTORS PLEASE NOTE: Because of the nature of the schedule, we cannot specify exactly how much regular time and how much overtime will be worked. We are providing this information and the attached schedule in order to supply as much information as possible, however, please understand that this is not a guarantee of total wages. The role is paid hourly for actual hours worked.

Please prepare a short memorized comedic monologue (60 seconds or less)
SINGERS:
Please ALSO prepare a short song to be sung a cappella. The song should be a ballad from
the musical theatre or Christmas genre.
The following roles are non-singing roles: Santa, Conductor, Hobo, Hero Child, and
Santa’s Elves.
