CASTING CALL: Toronto Indie Music Video – An Elderly Love Story
Rehearsals: TBD, based on actor availability (min. one week ahead of shoot)
Shoot Date: TBD, May 18/19 OR May 25/26
Non-paid. Food will be provided, Gas/IIC costs will be reimbursed, A copy of the video will be distributed upon completion.
Location: Toronto, ON/GTA
This is an experimental music video project composed of a series of vignettes capturing moments of love and connection between an elderly couple. The video will be composed of still vignettes, with actors conveying big emotions through facial expressions, and body language.
Character: Clara (Female, Any Ethnicity, Age: 65+)
Clara is a kind-hearted and gentle elderly woman who radiates warmth and grace. Despite the loss of her spouse, she carries herself with resilience and an open heart, Clara’s spirit is as vibrant as ever, and her eyes sparkle with the possibility of newfound love in her golden yedra
Character: Walter (Male, Any Ethnicity, Age: 65+)
Walter is a charming and dignified elderly man with a twinkle in his eye. Having recently lost his wife, he finds solace in the simple pleasures of life and the potential for companionship once again. Walter’s presence exudes kindness and wisdom, and his heart is ready to embrace love once more.
Requirements:
Applicants MUST be comfortable holding a kissing pose.
Comfortable portraying characters falling in love in their old age,
Ability to convey big emotions through facial expressions and body language
Comfortable standing still and holding positions for extended penads,
Couples are welcome to apply.
