Update: Deadline extended! Submit a video audition by January 2nd for this new musical comedy premiering at the Angelus Theatre in Spanish Fork! All roles available.
This is the audition for Great Hall Theatrical’s 2025 production of Stephen and Teresa Gashler’s THE PHANTOM BREAKS THE OPERA debuting at the Angelus Theatre (165 N Main Street Spanish Fork, UT) from March 13 – 22, directed by Stephen and Teresa Gashler.
Anyone 16 or older is welcome to audition for this production. All actor roles and crew positions are volunteer. However, as a thank you, everyone can receive 40% of the tickets sales they bring in. There are about 12 roles available.
If enough people audition, we may double cast. This is a new work in active development, so cast and crew may be invited to collaborate, and elements may change as they’re tested and refined for the premiere. If you don’t enjoy experimental theatre, this may not be a good fit for you. Also, please not that this show will be physically demanding, involving a lot of movement and stunts.

Callbacks:
Callbacks will be by invitation only on December 14th from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Angelus Theatre. Rehearsals will run primarily in Springville and Spanish Fork from Jan 2 – Mar 19, Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thu from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm (longer for dress rehearsals) and Sat from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Friday rehearsals may be added as needed. Not all actors will be needed at all times. Performances are at the Angelus Theatre with call times at 6:00 pm and showtimes at 7:30 pm.
