The casting team for “Wicked” will be holding open auditions in New York in a few weeks. They are seeking exceptional vocalists with strong vocal range and a passion for performance to fill both principal and ensemble roles.
If you’ve ever dreamed of gracing the Broadway stage, now is your chance. The smash-hit musical Wicked is holding an open call for vocalists in New York City. Whether you’re aspiring to join the Broadway cast or the National Touring company, this audition could be your big break to be part of one of the most iconic and beloved shows in theater history.

Open Call Details:
- Date: Friday, November 8, 2024
- Sign-Up: Begins at 9:30 a.m. You must arrive by 12:30 p.m. to be considered.
- Location: St. Paul the Apostle Church Parish Center, 405 West 59th Street, NYC. (Please do not arrive prior to 9:00 a.m. No onsite parking is available.)
Who They’re Looking For:
- Singers aged 18 and older, of all genders and ethnicities, with fantastic voices and strong vocal range.
- Performers who move well and can fill both principal and ensemble roles.
- Both Equity and Non-Equity performers are welcome to audition.
- Authorization to legally work in the U.S. is required.
What to Prepare:
- 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song that best showcases your vocal range (to be sung a cappella).
- Sopranos are welcome to sing 16 bars of a traditional legit musical theatre song.
- Please also bring sheet music in case you’re asked to sing with piano accompaniment.
- A photo and resume stapled together are required.
Important Notes:
- There will be no immediate callbacks following the open call.
- This is a rare opportunity to audition for both the Broadway and National Touring productions of Wicked, so come prepared and ready to shine.
