Live in the Nashville, Tennessee area and want to be in a movie? A movie is filming about the civil war and more specifically about General Earl Van Dorn. Nashville residents have a chance to be in a movie and get paid to do so.
General Earl Van Dorn was a prominent Confederate officer during the American Civil War, known for his leadership and strategic contributions in the conflict. Born on September 17, 1820, in Port Gibson, Mississippi, Van Dorn graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and initially served in the U.S. Army before joining the Confederate forces. He earned recognition for his role in the Battle of Pea Ridge in 1862 and later commanded various Confederate units across the western theater of the war. Van Dorn’s career was marked by both tactical successes and controversies, including his leadership during the Battle of Corinth and his later command of the Army of the Trans-Mississippi. Despite facing challenges and criticism, Van Dorn’s impact on the Confederate military efforts was significant. Project: Civil War Era Film (PG-13) – A biopic on the life of Civil War General Van Dorn

Location: Columbia, TN area (Local hires only)

Role Details:
We are seeking non-union background actors for a feature film set in the Civil War era. This period film will depict the life of General Van Dorn, and we need men and women, aged 18-55, to portray townspeople from the 1860s.
Requirements:
- Women: Sizes 0-16, with natural hair (no streaky highlights or unnatural colors)
- Men: Jacket sizes 38-48, pant sizes 30-40 waist
- Must be available for up to 12 hours on set, though the actual filming time may be less.
Compensation:
$100 for an 8-hour day (8-hour guarantee + time and a half for any additional hours). Note that minors will not be required to work 12+ hours. The exact call time will be provided the day before.
