Casting Call in NY for Peacock’s “Poker Face” Season 2

Poker Face, Peacock show with Rian Johnson and Natasha Lyonne is in production in the upstate New York area (Hudson Valley) as well as NYC.  The shows extras casting directors with New York based casting company GWCI are holding a casting call for NY Locals that would like to work as paid background actors in episodes of “Poker Face.”

Poker Face,” according to a story in Variety, began as a 10-episode order at Peacock back in March of last year. “Poker Face” has now been renewed for season 2. Nora and Lilla Zuckerman serve as co-showrunners.  “Poker Face” is written by Natasha Lyonne, Rian Johnson, and Charlie Peppers.

This mystery-of-the-week series centers on Charlie Cale, who possesses a unique talent: she can always tell when someone is lying. Traveling across the country in her Plymouth Barracuda, Charlie encounters a fresh set of characters and bizarre crimes at every stop, which she can’t resist trying to solve. The show features an impressive lineup of guest stars, including Ellen Barkin, Adrien Brody, Luis Guzmán, and Chloë Sevigny. Unlike traditional whodunits, this “howcatchem” style series – akin to “Columbo”- reveals the crime and culprit at the start of each episode, and then follows Charlie’s journey to uncover the truth.
