Casting Call: Nationwide for EURO Project – Lead Role
Casting a lead role for a new “Euro” project, and seeking a young female actor with an authentic Eastern European accent to play an East European exchange student, with an authentic East European accent, that is adapting to life in America.
This project is set to shoot in the U.S., and we’re accepting submissions from across the nation. The shoot date is to be announced, and compensation for this role will be negotiated based on SAG-AFTRA rates.
Character Description:
- Role: Female Lead
- Age Range: 16-20 years old, ideally 17
- Ethnicity/Accent: Eastern European
- Character Profile:
A determined and resourceful Soviet high school exchange student who navigates cultural differences with a blend of naivety and fierce independence. Tenacious and courageous, she often comes across as blunt or socially awkward, but this only reflects her unfamiliarity with American customs. Her ultimate goal is to stay in the U.S. and attend UC Berkeley, driven by her ambitions and dreams for a better future. The role requires both vulnerability and resilience.
Requirements:
- Accent: Must have an authentic Eastern European accent.
- Language Skills: Ability to speak an Eastern European language is a strong plus.
- Eligibility: Must be either 18+ (to play younger) or legally emancipated. Only U.S. citizens, green card holders, or O-1 visa holders are eligible to apply.
