Filming of Steph Curry’s new show is starting in the Chicago, Illinois area, and the extras casting directors for “Mr. Throwback” are on the lookout for locals to the area who have time to work on set, to work on this production.
NBC and Peacock have given the green light to “Mr. Throwback,” a basketball-themed mockumentary comedy featuring NBA star Steph Curry and Adam Pally. The show, created by “Happy Endings” creator David Caspe and writers Matthew Libman and Daniel Libman, is set to join the ranks of beloved mockumentaries like “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation” on the streaming platform. In “Mr. Throwback,” a struggling memorabilia dealer seeks redemption by reconnecting with his former sixth-grade teammate, NBA legend Steph Curry. The series is created and executive produced by David Caspe, the Libman brothers, Adam Pally, Steph Curry, and Unanimous Media’s Erick Peyton. Stay tuned for more casting calls for extras!

Mr. Throwback – Featured Background Roles.
Collecting submissions for week 5 of Mr. Throwback.
This submission form is for general background roles, which means they’re open to any gender, any ethnicity, ages 18 and older. You must be graduated from high school (not currently attending) in order to submit.
General background roles pay $126.40/8. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours. If we book you with your vehicle to be parked on set, there will be a $35 bump added to your pay. No red or white vehicles, please.
