Chicago PD Paid Extras Casting Call in Illinois.
Productions of popular TV shows Chicago PD and Chicago Med are beginning production for the fall 2024 / 2025 season.
Extras casting directors have put out their first calls. The show generally casts stand ins, photo doubles and extras from in and around the Chicago area.
The 2 NBC Chicago shows generally film around the same time in Chicago and NBC’s Chicago Fire has also released a casting call for stand ins and extras.
Chicago P.D. is a police drama series that follows the dedicated officers of the Chicago Police Department’s Intelligence Unit as they combat the city’s most serious offenses, including organized crime, drug trafficking, and high-profile murders. Led by the tough but compassionate Sergeant Hank Voight, the team employs a mix of traditional detective work and high-stakes undercover operations to bring justice to the streets of Chicago. The show delves into the personal and professional lives of the officers, highlighting the challenges and sacrifices they face while protecting their city.
Please note that these are non speaking extras roles and casting directors are only considering people who are local to Illinois as no travel expenses are paid.
Casting Notice:
Chicago PD – General Availability Form & Director Selected Roles.
We’re collecting submissions for Episode 1201 of Chicago PD, as well as submissions for a couple director selected roles. *Reminder that Chicago Med does not begin prep until next week*
This submission form is for general background roles, which means they’re open to any gender, ethnicity, ages 7 and older. *PARENTS: We will post instructions on how to obtain a minor work permit shortly. You can still submit your child in the meantime*
General background roles (for ages 16+) pay $129.60/8. Pay for minors (15 and younger) is $155/8. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours. If we book you with your vehicle to be parked on set, there will be a $35 bump added to your pay. No red or white vehicles, please.

DIRECTOR SELECTED ROLES:
SUBJECT LINE: ADDICT IN THE MORGUE
ROLE: We are looking for African American females, ages 18-25, to play dead bodies in the morgue (for still photos). You will have some special effects makeup applied to you so that you appear deceased.
It is important that you let us know if you have ANY tattoos on your upper body (arms, back, chest, neck, hands, etc.). Please make sure to send us photos of your tattoos as well.
PHOTO DATE: Tuesday 7/16
PAY: $129/8
SUBJECT LINE: TRAP HOUSE DEALER
ROLE: We are looking for African American males, 20s, to play dealers that are found deceased in a trap house. You will have a heavy amount of special effects makeup and prosthetics applied to you, which can take a couple hours in the makeup chair. You will appear badly beaten up, duct taped, and laid out on the ground/floor. The scene sequence is expected to be a full/long day of shooting, so you must be comfortable with all of the above.
WARDROBE FITTING: Mandatory; date TBD
FILMING: Monday 7/22
PAY: $300/8 + $25 fitting bump
