Casting Call: Stand-ins Needed for “Apopka” Film in Charlotte, NC
The upcoming biographical film Apopka (working title), starring Sydney Sweeney, is seeking stand-ins for filming in Charlotte, North Carolina. This feature film will focus on the life of legendary female boxer Christy Martin, portrayed by Sweeney, known for her roles in Euphoria, The White Lotus, and The Handmaid’s Tale. Directed by David Michod (Animal Kingdom, The King), Apopka will chronicle Martin’s rise to fame and the personal battles she faced throughout her career.
The movie is just a few weeks away from beginning production in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Current schedule has the project filming from September 30th and continuing into November. The movie is also looking to fill a variety of other small roles.

FINAL WEEK OF FILMING for The Feature Film “Apopka” filming in Charlotte,
Production is especially in need of Males for various roles for their Boxing Fight Scenes.
The upcoming film will star Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria, Immaculate. White Lotus, The Handmaid’s Tale) as legendary Female Boxer Christy Martin.
MANY MALES are needed to portray Boxing Judges, Commissioners, Doctors, EMT’s, Photographers, Venue Workers, Hotel Reps, Announcers, Corner Teams/Cut Men, Boxing Fight Attendees and more.
Females are also needed.
All Background Extras are paid.

Some will film as crowd for one fight during the day and as a speciality role in the other fight during that day.
Preferring clean shaven Males or those with mustache only for some of these roles if possible.Males with no visible tattoos in short sleeve shirt for Police and EMT’s.
