About the Show: Based on Schulz’s iconic characters, “The World According to Snoopy” offers a fresh take on life’s simple joys through Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang. This updated musical, originally adapted at Texas State University in 2017, includes a brand-new song, “Husband Material,” with music by Larry Grossman and lyrics by Andrew Lippa (known for “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”).

What We’re Looking For: We are casting seven actors, aged approximately 20-30, to fill various roles. We encourage performers of all ethnicities and genders to audition, with character genders provided for reference.

  • Singers, dancers, and actors—we need triple-threat performers for most roles.
  • Not a singer? No worries! The role of Woodstock doesn’t require singing but demands strong physical comedy skills.

Audition Preparation:

  • Prepare 16 measures of a light Broadway song in the style of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
  • If auditioning for Woodstock only, no song preparation is needed.
  • An accompanist will be provided—please bring your music in a binder with your audition cut clearly marked.
  • Dress comfortably for a light movement audition.
  • Be prepared for a possible dialogue reading if asked to stay.

Character Breakdown:

  • Snoopy (Male) – Vocal range: (B2) C3 to Ab4 (A4)
  • Woodstock (Any Gender) – Non-speaking, non-singing role; requires great physical comedy skills.
