Lakewood Playhouse announced general auditions for upcoming season.
The playhouse is under new artistic leadership and invites all artists in the area to join their vibrant community. These auditions will serve as an opportunity to be considered for roles throughout the season, with specific callbacks for individual productions.
Auditions will take place over three days, from June 9th to 11th, at Lakewood Playhouse in Lakeview, Washington:
- Sunday, June 9th and Tuesday, June 11th: Auditions for both musicals and plays.
- Monday, June 10th: Auditions for plays only.
Audition Requirements:
- For plays only: Prepare a one-minute monologue from a play you love.
- For plays and musicals: Prepare a one-minute monologue from a play you love, 32 bars of your favorite musical theatre song (accompanist provided), and participate in a movement call.

Season Overview: The mission is to build community through theatre, and our upcoming season’s five plays embody themes of belonging, understanding, acceptance, and hope. According to the Lakeview Playhouse, these productions will engage directly with our community and inspire meaningful conversations. As one of the only theatres in the round in the region, our unique setup allows for an intimate and immersive audience experience. The theater is also planning talkbacks and events to further facilitate community engagement.
