Open auditions for actors in central Maine for “Murder at the Pie Auction.”
The Rumford Association for the Advancement of the Performing Arts invites you to audition for its upcoming spring production, “Murder at the Pie Auction.”
“Murder at the Pie Auction” is a hilarious murder mystery comedy set in the town of Rumford.
Seeking talented individuals to fill nine roles (five female and four male) in our cast. From the editor of the local newspaper to a stylish former lover, each character brings their own unique flair to the story.
“Murder at the Pie Auction” is a murder mystery infused with humor and intrigue. Set against the backdrop of an annual pie baking competition, the play unfolds with a delicious blend of big laughs, outrageous characters, and a puzzling murder to solve. As the story unfolds, tensions rise and secrets unravel, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats until the very end. With its witty dialogue, memorable characters, and unexpected twists, “Murder at the Pie Auction” promises to entertain and delight audiences of all ages.
Scripts are available for perusal at the Greater Rumford Community Center, 50 Congress Street, during operating hours from Monday to Friday.

Rehearsals for both actors and chorus members will commence on Monday nights starting February 26th. Chorus members will gather at 7 p.m., while actors will begin at 6 p.m. Rehearsals promise to be both productive and enjoyable as we prepare for an unforgettable performance.
Auditions will be held at The Hope Association, 85 Lincoln Ave, Rumford, on Monday and Tuesday, February 12th and 13th, starting at 6 p.m. Directed by the talented Connie Venskus, this production promises big laughs, outrageous characters, and of course, a puzzling murder to solve.
