*CASTING A PILOT EPISODE TO PITCH TO ANGEL STUDIOS*
If the pilot is accepted, it will consist of 8 episodes.
The story revolves around a Texas Ranger who is leading an investigation to search for a missing boy. As things get heated up, his past comes back to haunt him when his father is released from prison after 25 years. And to make things even more complicated, the pressure from the governor to find the missing boy sends him to places he hasn’t been, seeking solace in things of the world. The main role of the Texas Ranger JOHN has been cast, but we are searching for other main and supporting roles.
MARIE: 25-35 years old, white female, dark brown hair, lean. The loving wife of John. When her father-in-law comes into the picture, and her husband won’t tell her the truth about him, she starts her own investigation and digs up her husband’s dark past. *Requires kissing actor who plays husband* MAIN
TIM: 30-40 years old, African-American male. John’s partner, also Texas Ranger. He is there with John through the worst. He has an old gunshot wound in his leg and side that makes him slower and limp a little bit. Divorced, and has family issues of his own. MAIN
FRANK: 65-75 years old, white male, Clint Eastwood type, gruff-looking. Released from prison after 25 years. He seeks his son John for forgiveness for something he did when he was little, but is rejected. Forms a bond with Marie as she tries to get John to meet with him. MAIN
ALAN: 40-50 years old, white male. Director of the Rangers. The pressure from the governor to find the missing boy is weighing down on him. Good friends with John. SUPPORTING
GOVERNOR MAC: 45-55 years old, white male. Deep southern accent. He wants the missing boy found as soon as possible, but mostly because he only cares about how he looks in the media. SUPPORTING
BRANDON: 8-10 years old, brown hair. Oldest son of John and Marie Russell. Baseball player. Good relationship with dad. SUPPORTING
JOSHUA: 5-6 years old, brown hair. Youngest son of John and Marie Russell. SUPPORTING
This will be shooting in June/July 2025 and will span about 3 weeks. Again, this is just the pilot episode.
MAIN ROLES: $150/day for 12 hours
SUPPORTING ROLES: $100/day for 12 hours
*Also looking for a cinematographer with experience*
