Casting calls out for NYC locals who would like to work as paid extras in New York City who would like to work on set of Godfather of Harlem which is now filming new episodes in the NYC area.
“Godfather of Harlem” is a television series set in 1960s Harlem, centered around the legendary crime boss Bumpy Johnson, portrayed by Forest Whitaker. After serving a 10-year prison sentence, Bumpy returns home to find his neighborhood under the control of the ruthless Italian mob, who have decimated the once-vibrant community.
Determined to reclaim his territory, Bumpy takes on New York’s Genovese crime family in a brutal battle for control. Along the way, he forges alliances with influential figures such as Malcolm X, played by Nigel Thatch, and becomes embroiled in the social upheaval of the era. Described as a prequel to the Denzel Washington movie “American Gangster,” “Godfather of Harlem” offers a riveting portrayal of one man’s quest for power and redemption in a turbulent time in American history.

Godfather of Harlem is seeking union and non-union Bg to portray African American casino blackjack & craps dealers.
Filming dates are Thursday May 30th & Friday May 31st.
A wardrobe fitting is required for this role. Fitting and filming for this will be in East Flatbush Brooklyn.
The show takes place in 1966. No dreads, braids, fades, or big afros. Men should be comfortable being clean shaven if asked and getting your hair cut/styled. Women must have natural nails and hair. No visible tattoos. Must be comfortable with atmospheric smoke.
Special ability rate of $218/8hrs and 1/4 check ($54.50) for the wardrobe fitting.
