Florida A&M Athletics announced open auditions for the role of football public address announcer at Bragg Memorial Stadium. This is a great opportunity for people with a strong vocal presence who love Football. Games play at Ken Riley Field at the Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.
Top emailed auditions will be invited for in-person auditions, where they will read a sample game script over the stadium’s PA system and meet with Florida A&M Athletics staff members. There is a deadline to apply which is the end of this week.

This is a paid gig – PA announcers are paid for each game they work at, however, applicants for the announcer job will have to pass a background check and must have extensive knowledge of Football. Those wanting to audition for the FAMU Athletics announcer can do so from home as the initial round of auditions will be an online audition via self tape.
Role:
PA announcer will do the following at the games.
- Introducing starting lineups
- Calling pertinent in-game action
- Making other important in-venue announcements
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Vocal Skills: Strong vocal ability, clear pronunciation, enthusiasm, and comfort in addressing large crowds.
- Multitasking: Ability to handle a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Football Knowledge: In-depth understanding of football rules and in-game action.
- Adaptability: Ability to follow a script, react quickly, and accept feedback readily.
- Experience: Previous experience as a PA announcer at the high school, collegiate, or professional level is preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and some holidays, and commute to Bragg Memorial Stadium.
