Calling all Chicagoland locals! NBC’s hit police procedural, Chicago P.D., is currently filming new episodes for the 2025 season, and they are looking for local talent to work as paid background actors. This is your chance to be part of a major television production that has captivated audiences for years!
About the Show: “Chicago P.D.” is a dynamic spin-off of the popular series Chicago Fire, created by renowned producer Dick Wolf, who also brought the iconic Law & Order franchise to life. The show is part of a larger universe of Chicago-based dramas, including Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and often features crossover episodes with other NBC shows. Each series explores different facets of life and work in the Windy City, providing thrilling storylines and compelling characters.
In Chicago P.D., the elite Intelligence Unit, led by the gritty and determined Sgt. Hank Voight, investigates some of the city’s most complex and high-stakes crimes. From drug trafficking and organized crime to high-profile murders, the team is on the front lines of keeping Chicago safe. The unit, which includes dedicated officers like Kim Burgess, Kevin Atwater, Adam Ruzek, Trudy Platt, Jay Halstead, and Hailey Upton, works tirelessly to uncover the truth and serve justice. However, with an ever-evolving criminal justice system and increasing sociopolitical tensions, Sgt. Chicago PD – General Availability Form.
We’re collecting submissions for Episode 1213 of Chicago PD.
This submission form is for general background roles, which means they’re open to any gender, any ethnicity, ages 9 and older. You must have a minor work permit if you are under the age of 16.
Parents: We will be looking for a FEATURED 9 or 10-year old African American boy to play the son of a cast member. Please complete the availability form ASAP and we will get your son’s photo included in the director’s selection. Selection could be made as early as tomorrow (Thurs 11/21). Please don’t wait! This will move quickly.
General background roles pay $129.60/8 for adults. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours. Minors are paid $160/8. If we book you with your vehicle to be parked on set, there will be a $35 bump added to your pay. No red or white vehicles, please. If you attend a wardrobe fitting in advance of filming, a $25 bump will be added to your pay.
